Each week we will post a new segment and recipe of a signature Hand-Crafted Cocktail we feature at the Cocktail Bar (some ingredients are top secret so we'll provide as much as we can without giving too much away). We'll provide step by step recipe instructions along with perfectly paired styling tips and other "secrets worth sharing" in the world of Mixology and Fashion. So, sit back, grab a cocktail, relax and enjoy the experience!
Fun Facts: The Bourbon Sour is one of the oldest types of cocktails. It’s unknown exactly when the cocktail was conceived (or who was the mixologist), but its history stretches back to the Lincoln administration and first appeared in publication dating back to 1862. The "Whisky Sour" was traditionally made with whiskey, lemon juice, sugar and egg white, an ingredient that tames the tart flavor and creates a richer, smoother texture. Today mixologist have played around vegan alternatives and have since introduced aquafaba instead of egg white (which is how we at Coastal Society mix up "our spin" of an old fave.
The Perfect Pairing: The Coastal Society Bourbon Sour pairs beautifully with a long flowing floral print sundress found at the at the boutique, try on a pair of espadrille sandals, accessorize with one of our chic eco friendly Kuma sunnies and lastly finish the look with the perfect hand-made rose gold earrings from designer Dana of Adorn.
All Fashion items mentioned are exclusively available for purchased at the Boutique - Coastal Society- or Online at CoastalSociety.com.
Once you're styled to perfection and have your cocktail in-hand, be sure to snap a few selfies on property (at Coastal Society) sit back and relax on one of our resort style outdoor patio gardens and dine on a savory & sweet fig, prosciutto and arugula artisanal craft pizza from the Coastal Society Eatery Menu.
